Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy is skilled treatment that helps individuals achieve independence in all facets of their lives. Occupational therapy assists people in developing the "skills for the job of living" necessary for independent and satisfying lives following some sort of illness or injury.
Occupational Therapy facilitates independence through the use of:
Evaluation/Assessment Stretching & Strengthening Programs Functional treatment plans Fluidotherapy Heat/Cold Joint mobilization Range of motion (ROM) Functional activities	Iontophoresis Ultrasound Electrical stimulation Compensatory techniques Adaptive equipment if needed Education Home programs

Services provided by the Biomax Rehabilitation Occupational Therapy department include:
Certified Hand Therapy Treatment of the upper extremities Work Conditioning/Work Hardening (all diagnosis) Certified Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE) Certified Lymphedema Treatment (upper & lower extremity) Job Analysis/Ergonomic Assessments

The Occupational Therapy staff at Biomax Rehabilitation has received further training and certifications to remain current with the latest treatment methods in order to better serve our clients.
